Hi, I'm Kelly.
The maker behind Mallow Magic (or, as I'm now known, Mummy Marshmallow).
Believe it or not, it all started with a Father's Day gift.
Back in 2012, I found a marshmallow recipe in a magazine and decided to make some for my dad because he loved marshmallows. They were absolutely terrible! But I'm not someone who gives up easily, so I kept experimenting until I finally got them right.
A couple of years later, life felt pretty tough. I was working as a careers adviser, we'd been trying for a baby for several years, we'd been through two unsuccessful rounds of IVF, and we'd recently lost my father-in-law to cancer.
I needed something that was just for me.
So I started a little home bakery making celebration cakes.
Eight months later, I discovered I was pregnant with my eldest son, Oscar. While rocking him to sleep, I'd often find myself lying on the bedroom floor with my laptop, designing logos and dreaming about where my little business might take me.
Then, at a Christmas market in 2016, everything changed.
I'd made some marshmallows simply to fill a few empty spaces on my cake stall... and they sold out. Both days.
That's when I realised marshmallows weren't just an extra—they were the business I'd been looking for.
In 2017, Mallow Magic was born.
Over the next few years, I was lucky enough to become known as "The Marshmallow Lady." Then came my youngest son, Sidney, followed by lockdown, when supporting small businesses became more important than ever. It was an incredible time, and I'll always be grateful for everyone who chose to shop local.
When life changed again, I stepped away from Mallow Magic to retrain as a Mortgage Broker.
But something was missing.
Then one day, Sidney handed me a drawing of smiling marshmallows and proudly called me "Mummy Marshmallow."
It reminded me exactly why I'd started Mallow Magic all those years ago.
Not just to make marshmallows.
But to create little boxes of happiness that make ordinary days feel a little more special.
Today, every marshmallow is still handmade by me in small batches here in Essex. Every flavour is created with care, every box is packed by hand, and every order still gives me the same excitement it did all those years ago.

What Mallow Magic means
I don't believe you need a birthday or a special occasion to enjoy something special.
Sometimes the best moments are the ordinary ones—a cup of tea after a long day, a family movie night, catching up with a friend or treating yourself just because.
That's what Mallow Magic is about. Helping people slow down and enjoy life's little moments.
Handmade with care
Every box of Mallow Magic is made by me, from start to finish, here in Essex.
I'm proud to have been awarded a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating, giving you peace of mind that every marshmallow is made to the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Every box starts with an idea. I create each month's flavours, design the flavour cards and recipe cards, choose the playlist, handmake every marshmallow and carefully pack each order before it makes its way to your door.
Unlike mass-produced marshmallows, everything is made in small batches using carefully chosen, premium and real ingredients, real Belgian chocolate, freshly squeezed lemon juice to create marshmallows that are soft, fluffy and full of flavour. I create every flavour myself, inspired by childhood memories, favourite desserts and the changing seasons.
Once they're ready, I hand-cut, wrap and pack every marshmallow before carefully boxing your order, ready to make its way to your door.
There are no production lines, no huge factory and no team behind the scenes—just me, creating every box with the same care and attention I'd give if I were making it for a friend.
